World Renowned Sailor Teams up with Elite Watchmaker

On March 30, 2010 50-year-old French sailor, Loick Peyron, officially joined the Corum watch family, by meeting more than 100 Corum employees at the company’s Swiss headquarters in La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Corum, well known for their exceptional timepieces, which includes the Corum Admiral’s Cup and Golden Bridge collections, expects that Peyron’s sailing creativity coupled with the company’s revered watchmaking expertise can create an epic new timepiece.

This dynamic combination originated back in May of 2009 when he was attending the Grand Prix Corum. The sailor quickly identified with the company values and began establishing a tight knit relationship with the brand.

“My meeting with Loick Peyron immediately convinced me that he exactly matched Corum values,” stated Corum CEO Antoine Calce.

The French sailor has an impressive resume of accomplishments which includes 43 transatlantic crossings—18 of those crossings were performed solo—along with five ORMA multihull world championship titles, and 16 Grand Prix wins. Peyron is also recognized across the globe as one of the best sailors of both multihull and monohull ships.

New challenges are in store for Peyron, both on and off the water, but apparently he is ready to take on those challenges like a true champion, alongside his new Corum family.

“Beautiful stories always begin with passion, sharing, and friendship. It is a great pleasure for me to become part of the Corum family,” said Peyron.
