What do you get when you combine some serious star wattage, an iconic makeup brand, a great cause, and two of the best cities in the U.S.? Why, the 2010 Entertainment Industry Foundation Revlon Walk for Women, which will take place in NYC on May 1, and Los Angeles on May 8. Revlon Brand Ambassadors Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, and Jessica Biel will join Julie Bowen, James Denton, Marg Helgenberger, Carrie Ann Inaba, Jesse L. Martin, and Dr. Oz to host the EIF Revlon Run/Walk. The walk is one of the nation’s largest single-day fundraisers that supports women’s cancer research, counseling, and outreach programs.
The 13th annual New York race starts in Times Square, and finishes in the East Meadow of Central Park, and it attracts—get this—nearly 25,000 participants. And if you think that’s a lot, the Los Angeles race counts 45,000 people, who flock to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park all in the name of a good cause. Since the original race in 1993, the combined New York and Los Angeles events have raised nearly $58 million in grants. These proceeds have gone towards the development of cutting-edge research that has helped bring new treatment approaches to women’s cancers worldwide.
“The personal stories and the participants’ commitment to this cause is overwhelming, and we can’t thank them enough,” says Lilly Tartikoff, co-founder of the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women and co-founder of the Revlon/UCLA Women’s Cancer Research Program. “Each year thousands show their support on both coasts and it is through their incredible efforts we get one step closer to a cure.”

For the New York event, participants can take advantage of an early registration fee of $30 through April 17. From April 18 through May 1, the New York event registration fee will be $35. For the Los Angeles event, participants can take advantage of an early registration fee of $30 through April 25. From April 26 through May 8, the registration fee for the Los Angeles event will be $35. Participants are able to register on the day of the events beginning at 7 a.m. for $35.
