May is For Multiple Sclerosis – and the Chance to Take Home a Lambo from a Live Auction

Mark your calendars for the month of May, because on the 7, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in L.A., Nancy Davis, a multiple sclerosis survivor and advocate will be holding the 17th annual Race to Erase MS gala to raise money for multiple sclerosis.

Since 1993, Davis has raised more than $30 million for the Nancy Davis Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis and its Center Without Walls program, which was founded by Davis herself. Every year she chooses the month of May to commemorate her charity and celebrate awareness.

To kick off the month in style, Kitson—a Nicole Richie favorite—will be hosting an event at its Melrose boutique the week before the gala (on May 1 to be exact). Orange is the MS color, so don’t be alarmed if you get home with a slew of sherbet-colored souvenirs. They will be selling an array of orange products in all their boutiques for the entire month, including a Donni Charm scarf, Peace & Love celebrity designed T-shirts, Simon G jewelry and a whole lot more, so prepare those wallets!

To top that, 100 percent of the sales (yes, all of it) will support Race to Erase MS, and one percent of all Kitson store sales for the month of May will be donated to the same cause. But let’s focus on the actual event for a second. For starters, guests will enjoy a cocktail reception and silent auction that will start at 6:30 p.m., so don’t be late.

If you’re curious about the silent auction items, they will include celebrity autographed memorabilia, vacation getaways, and experiential packages. But, brace yourselves because the best part of it all is yet to come. The silent auction will be followed by a one-of-a-kind live auction that will feature (and you better sit down for this): a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Coupe. Nice isn’t it? And it’s all for a good cause.

Plus, you’ll also enjoy a gala dinner and live entertainment by Heart, Natalie Cole, and Avril Lavigne, who recently joined the Race to Erase MS Board of Directors. In addition, MAXX NEW YORK has designed the official gift bag for the event. If you would like to purchase any of the items, you can visit www.erasems.org, all proceeds will go to the Nancy David Foundation for Multiple Sclerosis.

Tickets to the event start at $1,000 and tables  start from $10,000. To purchase tickets for the event, please contact info@erasems.org or 310.440.4842.
