Hermès Fine Jewelry

After two years of development, Hermès is launching a capsule collection of jewelry designed by Pierre Hardy. The 14-piece line of “haute bijouterie” was inspired by the shape of a horse’s hoof to keep with the fashion house’s equestrian roots. Hardy stated: “Hermès is not a very precious universe. I simply went back to its roots and to the horse’s hoof, taking the roughest, strongest, almost radical element and giving it the most feminine, the most modern interpretation.” This luxury line includes materials from black jade to pave diamonds, and will be encased in boxes made of alligator leather. Even with impressive price tags starting at $23,000 and going up to $880,000, the wait list for the items (much like their bags) is already five to seven months long.
