F.I.G Hosts First Annual Fresh Event

The Fashion Industry Gallery (F.I.G), home to many wholesale fashion markets, held their first annual Fresh Event Saturday, a tweaked version of their usual expos that highlighted the most luxurious and chic fads in the worlds of health, beauty and fitness.VIP visitors enjoyed exclusive benefits like a cooking instructions by local Kozy Kitchen, a “Super Foods” seminar by nutrition expert Morris Brosette and a goal setting seminar by lululemon athletica.

All visitors got hands-on experiences–most particularly a free manicure by Posh Salon. Those that were decked out in gym gear could get a free personal training session, yoga instruction or do boot camp drills with Rockstar Fitness Camp. Free massages, acupuncture and sunless tanning were available (you had to wait in line) while others got a free makeup session or a complimentary cut and blow out by local favorites Matthew Tully Hairdressing.

Yoga instructor Jessica Baxter, who joined the F.I.G team last summer, was instrumental in the creation of the event. She says she believed while the Fashion Industry Gallery was extremely helpful in the fashion world, this was only one piece of the fashionista equation. Beauty, health and fitness also serve to create confident, gorgeous women. But that’s not to say the fellas were left out here, either. The Art of Shaving featured a “just for him” lounge, equipped with products and services that only the guys could enjoy. Bonus: Some dudes from the Aquatic Boot Camp tried their hands (and thighs) at pole dancing…what’s a party without that?
