Edible Art at Cecconi’s

Sure you have seen the greatest art galleries, I’d venture to say you’d probably even got one of those fancy private tours. And of course your impeccable taste for all that is fine dining has taken you to some of the greatest restaurants in the world. But I’d guess that you have yet to experience anything like this. Chef Andrea Cavaliere, the chef who brought us London’s Shoreditch House and Cecconi’s Restaurant, is bringing some innovation to the kitchen in Cecconi’s West Hollywood location.

On April 12, 2010, be ready for an art tasting event like no other. Chef Cavaliere has created a special prix fixe menu inspired by the art works at the Avenue. Incredible works by artists such as Fernando Botero, Laddie John Dill, Damien Hirst, Helen Lundeberg, Andre Masson and of course the iconic Andy Warhol were selected as inspiration for each course. Each work of art will be interpreted in a course. Never thought you’d have a Warhol on our plate, did you? The special event begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to the creative entrees, Sommelier Stacie Hunt from Du Vin Wine and Spirits has pulled some excellent wine pairings to go with your edible art, and curators from local galleries and LACMA will be presenting on the artworks featured on the menu.

Proceeds for the tasting will benefit the Avenues district and LACMA Muse, making for a delicious way to support the arts.

The prix fixe menu is $150 and reservations should be emailed to reservations@cecconirestaurant.com. Space is very limited; in fact, we suggest you make your reservations now.
