Corum Announced as the Presenter for the Bol d’Or Mirabaud

Attention all watch collectors and sailing enthusiasts: global watch designer Corum has announced its new partnership with Bol d’Or Mirabaud by becoming the presenting sponsor of the European regatta.

Taking place from June 11-13, the Bol d’Or Mirabaud is one of the world’s most noteworthy regattas in the inland, and will be celebrating its 72nd birthday in 2010. What better way to honor another year of success than with such a revered luxury watchmaker as Corum? The annual festival draws in nearly 600 sailing champions throughout Europe and brings them together with more than 3,000 passionate sailing devotees for a legendary race that joins stars and non-professionals on the waters of Lake Geneva for Europe’s largest lake regatta.

Corum is proud of its new association with the event because it not only strengthens its connections with remarkable sailors, such as Ben Ainslie and Loïck Peyron, but also with influential sailing events including the Grand Prix Corum.

The new partnership takes place during the brand’s 50th anniversary of the Admiral’s Cup Collection, which our watch editor, Ariel Adams, has reviewed here on HauteLiving.com for his weekly column, Haute Timepieces. The release of this iconic model began to pave the company’s way to success because of its distinctive and unmistakable characteristics.

As a token for the event and new partnership, Corum will officially launch a limited edition watch, “Admiral’s Cup Chronograph 48 Bol d’Or Mirabaud 2010” of 35 pieces. The new model will symbolize the brand’s recent partnership by becoming the new official watch of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud.
