It’s Saturday night; do you know where your art lover is? If it was last Saturday night, April 17, then chances are they were at O’Gara Coach Company for Paul Pascarella’s opening reception of “Recent Paintings.” And they would have been in good company too, because some well-respected Hollywood names showed up to demonstrate their support, including Anjelica Huston, Peter Fonda, James Caan, Harry Dean Stanton, Rebecca de Mornay, and Bijan.
But it wasn’t just Pascarella’s paintings that wowed the crowds that Saturday night. It was the blend of his artistic talents with some of the most revered names in luxury autos that had eyes popping out. Guests were greeted with a colorful cascade of fruit beside Bentleys regaled with gift bags in addition to a pearlescent Aston Martin convertible inviting them along the exhibit.
Of course there were hors d’oeuvres, however, when they came from the likes of our former Haute Ambassador of Cuisine, and Hollywood culinary superstar, Master Sushi Chef Katsuya Uechi, then surely it signified one haute affair. Grey Goose mixologists were on hand to ensure vodka drinkers stayed satisfied, and Cielo Malibu Wineyards poured several of their new releases.
Due to the many requests for a Pascarella print from the show, a special signed edition HUNTER’S WORLD print will be available for $900 each. In addition, the Paul Pascarella One-of-a-Kind Lamborghini Gallardo is for sale at O’Gara Coach Company, for someone looking to combine their love of cars and art, yet drive a head-turning exotic that is truly unique. The artist, who is a celeb favorite, with collectors like Johnny Depp, Jack Nicholson, Dennis Hopper, Jessica Lange, Sam Shepherd, Jann Wenner, and Goldie Hawn, singing his praises, will keep “Recent Paintings” on display at O’Gara Coach Company (8833 Olympic Blvd.) through May 31.
