We’ve Got Your Hollywood Parties for the Weekend

If procrastination is one of the character flaws that you resolved to work on this year, but have yet to find success, we’re here to help you out. For those of you who were too busy, or too discombobulated, to organize your weekend plans before now, here’s some tips on some hot red-carpet events in L.A.

On Saturday night, Hollywood will roll out the red carpets once again for the Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles Dinner and Awards at the Hyatt Century Plaza, where Portia de Rossi is slated to receive the “HRC Visibility Award” and Kathy Griffin will accept the “Ally for Equality Award.”

With Senator Barbara Boxer as the featured speaker for the evening, and financial expert Suze Orman as one of the confirmed special guests, it is sure to be an evening filled with political and motivational words of wisdom.

On Sunday, make a trip over to the Santa Monica pier for some celeb sightings that will include:

  • Mischa Barton
  • Sophia Bush
  • Rosario Dawson
  • Drea DeMatteo
  • Vanessa Hudgens
  • Ali Landry
  • Juliette Lewis
  • Maya Rudolph
  • Christian Slater
  • and a slew of Nickelodeon stars

Kevin and Steffiana James are hosting a Sunday funday like no other for the children of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The official word is, “The Santa Monica Pier will be closed down for the event as celebrity friends of the James’ come out to meet the children, and host rides and booths at the Pier. Although they are not granting specific wishes on Sunday, they will give these courageous children a day they will never forget.” Brian Worley and Jaime Geffen of YourBASH! will produce the event.

If you are not one of the procrastinators mentioned above, and your weekend fun is already booked up, check back here next week for photos of what you missed from both of these events.
