Weitzman’s Oscar-worthy Styling

Just in time for the Academy Awards. Stars from hit-TV shows such as Perrey Reeves of Entourage, Nina Dorbev of The Vampire Diaries, 90210’s Jessica Lowndes, Brooke Burns of Melrose Place, Southland’s Regina King, Mad Men’s Abigail Spencer and many more were in attendance to preview Stuart Weitzman’s Styling Suite, which showcased Weitzman’s 2010 Red Carpet Shoe Collection March 4 to 6. The VIP’s were also treated to special beauty treatments by beauty experts (who else?).

The special beauty treatments were provided by Andy Lecompte Salon’s George Papanikolas and featured hair products by Joico hair care and makeup by Lorac cosmetics. Famed celeb make-up artist Carol Shaw was there to give expert beauty advice and touch-ups to starts like Clash of the Titans star Izabella Miko and Melissa Rycroft from Good Morning America and Dancing with the Stars champion.

Stuart Weitzman’s collection was previewed by guests and VIP’s at The London West Hollywood Hotel in West Hollywood and hosted by wife Jane Weitzman. Weitzman is known for his use of unique materials such as cork, vinyl, lucite, wallpaper, and even 24-karat gold in his shoes that are sold in 45 countries. Weitzman’s attention to detail is another reason for the popularity of his shoe designs.

Interesting fun fact: Weitzman’s father started a shoe factory in 1950’s Massachusetts called, “Seymour’s Shoes,” a company in which Weitzman Jr. designed shoes for at the start of his career. Thank you, Weitzman Seymour, for taking a chance on your son; if you hadn’t, we may not have the brilliant shoe designer we have today.
