What MADE Them Haute: This father-and-son team has used Dezer Properties to form a monopoly over luxury development, hotel, and commercial spaces in New York, Las Vegas, and Miami by managing more than 1,000 oceanfront hotels. They are currently developing the Trump Grande Ocean Resort & Residence in Sunny Isles Beach.

What Makes Them Haute Now: Dezer Properties has taken over Related Group’s ownership stake at Trump Towers in Sunny Isles, a three-tower oceanfront condo project at 16001 Collins Ave. According to the Herald, following three months of negotiations with lenders, Dezer said his company assumed the former partnership’s $265 million loan on Dec. 31, 2009. The Dezer’s business owns 45 acres in Sunny Isles Beach, which translates to eight additional oceanfront sites that the company may develop. That’s pretty haute.
