March is usually known for one kind of Madness, in the form of sweaty men, an intense drive to win, and fierce competition. Enter: a different kind of Madness. Mac Madness. This week and this week only (March 22-26), Rockit Bar & Grill, the upscale eatery normally known for truffle fries and lobster burgers is going in, well, a different direction.

Yes, you read that right. Apparently having some odd midnight cravings, Mac Week is the brainchild of celebutante and restaurateur Billy Dec of Rockit Ranch Productions. Not fearing the impending bikini season, Dec is turning both Rockit locations into a cheesy paradise to cater to Chicago’s most indulgent cravings. Executive Chef James Gottwald and Chef de cuisine Amanda Downing were challenged to turn the childhood comfort food into an upscale, palate-pleasing fine dining dish. Tuna Melt Mac with Peas and Garlic Bread Crumb Crust


BBQ Pork and Bacon Mac with Smooth Yellow Cheddar
