For the power players of San Francisco’s high society, lunch isn’t simply a daily event wedged between long hours of work, and particularly not on Feb. 12, 2010, for it was on this festive Friday that Dior returned to the West Coast for its first fashion luncheon in several years.
The luxury label came bearing gifts to celebrate its Summer 2010 collection, at an exclusive luncheon hosted by Pamela Joyner.
The fashion-forward hostess welcomed 50 of San Francisco’s finest to her lovely home, including Dior President Pamela Baxter and Executive Vice President Karen Watkins. Guests arrived decked out in apparel from the latest collection, the perfect choice for dining on lobster medallions and pear galettes.
A feast for the palate and the eyes, models gracefully paraded around the dining room in Dior’s exquisite gowns. As a special bonus, Dior brought along its signature “Bar” jacket, direct from the Parisian archives, to display for all of the fashionistas.
As one of the most iconic brands in the world, Dior has been a pioneer in establishing timeless trends. This season was no exception, and while John Galliano led the brand to more exquisite creations, the timeless allure continues this season taking on a forties femme fatal vibe.
