Tony Blair to Take Advisory Role at LVMH

The former Prime Minister of Great Britain, Tony Blair, has been out of the political spotlight for some time now, but reports are indicating the he may be stepping into a different kind of spotlight in the upcoming months.

A report from The Telegraph newspaper has reported that an unnamed London source has said Blair is in the final stages of negotiating a deal with LVMH, and he is set to begin working for the luxury power house later this year.

How does a politician land a role like this, you may be asking? Well, it’s still unclear how it all came about, as both Blair’s representatives and LVMH aren’t commenting at this time. However, according to the report, “There is an agreement in principle, but nothing has been signed yet.”

It’s rumored that Blair will not be joining LVMH’s Board, but will rather act as a personal advisor to Chairman Bernard Arnault by targeting elite travelers and “in particular, his job is likely to involve attracting new clients.”

LVMH brands include champagnes Dom Perignon and Krug; vodkas Belvedere and Chopin; watchmakers Hublot, Chaumet, Zenith, and Tag Heuer; fashion and leather goods brands Dior, Fendi, Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Pucci, and Louis Vuitton, among others.
