Perhaps no one thinks they can follow an act like Angelina Jolie, but redheaded British model and singer, Karen Elson can. In fact, they felt that Jolie overshadowed the brand, according to St. John CEO Glenn McMahon. “We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes and cleanse the palette,” McMahon said. “We needed to show a modern point of view of St. John. We have evolved.”
Directed by executive vice president of design George Sharp, the new ads will make their debut in the February issues of Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vogue.
