Give Your Pup the Celebrity Treatment

If you have ever thought that your dog should be on the cover of a magazine or walking down the red carpet or a runway, Pawpurrazzi 2010 is the event for you–and your four-legged friend!

Join Miami’s most influential pet loving philanthropists on January 22, 2010 as they gather to enjoy an evening of one-of-a-kind entertainment, music, food and fashion to benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet Program. Taking place for the third year in a row at Jungle Island, this event highlights the community’s most committed pet owners, and the dogs that walk with them. All four-legged guests will enjoy pampering, doggy make-overs, an ice cream bar, and a gourmet buffet.

The highlight of the event is the “Great Pets Who Walk in Front of Great People” show where select guests and their dog(s) will be featured on the runway. And this year, the University of Miami Theatre Arts Department will put on a scene from—what else? CATS! The prices are: $350, $500, $750, and $1,000 per person.

Though new crowds attend the event every year, past Pawpurrazzi attendees have included Star Jones, Dolphin’s defensive end player, Jason Taylor, and even The BeeGees’ Barry Gibb.

The Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet is dedicated to placing every dog and cat in their care into a loving home, and to promote responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs. Animals who enter the doors will be safe from the threat of euthanasia, have a roof over their heads, and a good meal, until a forever-home comes along. The Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet serves thousands of abandoned and homeless animals each year. As the lead fundraiser, the success of Pawpurrazzi is critical to the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
