The missing link in the Pitt-Jolie dynasty was found. For $1.1 million, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie expanded their estate in Los Angeles’ Los Feliz neighborhood. Pitt purchased a 3,232-sqaure-foot house that his estate once mostly surrounded. It may be possible Pitt purchased the house for privacy purposes. The addition is adjacent to several other properties Pitt owns on the lot. The house includes two baths, a stone fireplace, a huge main room, a bonus room, and a bar area. The asking price was $1,495,000, but somehow Pitt was able to knock off around $400,000 at the time of purchase. Apparently, the house needed major renovations, which led to some bargaining. The new addition to the compound will accompany a key-shaped two-bedroom, one-bath home built in the 1920s, which he purchased from the late Anne Tyler Sherman. The Sherman house sits on a 0.25-acre lot in the Oaks area of Los Feliz. Also on the compound is the historically significant five-bedroom Craftsman-style house, along with three adjoining houses, each purchased by Pitt. After his latest acquisition, Pitt now owns close to 2 acres in the Oaks, and has spent close to $5 million assembling the properties on his compound.
