On December 2nd, ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa owners, Jorge and Juan Arevalo, and critically acclaimed Mexican actress, singer and six-time Billboard Latin Music Award winner, Paulina Rubio came together for the announcement of the worldwide launch of her organization, Fundación Paulina Rubio, a foundation created to benefit children living with neurologic disorders and their families.
Fellow supporters included Indy 500 winner and Haute Living cover profile Hélio Castroneves, Rubio’s mother and Mexican actress, Susana Dosamantes, President and Founder of The Lili Claire Foundation, Keith Resnick along with VIP guests like Alex Pereira, Erika Koopman, James & Mindy Cassel, Jilian Sanz, Leonardo Davalos and Moses Zomana.
Rubio introduced her project in partnership with The Lili Claire Foundation, known for its A-list supporters including Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry and Randy Jackson. Select guests and top foundation executives attended the exclusive press conference held at the ultra-chic oceanfront ONE Bal Harbour Resort & Spa.
Fundación Paulina Rubio is a project inspired by children in anguish as a result of homelessness, birth defects, and lack of education among other pernicious plights that many face today. By directing funds through other pre-existing organizations, such as The Lili Claire Foundation, children will receive a unique and comprehensive blend of support services including medical and behavioral genetics clinics, psychosocial counseling, advocacy services, information libraries, and community outreach that will ultimately help improve the lives of families and children living with neurogenetic disorders.
After Rubio shared details of the upcoming gala concert, Paulina & Friends, set to be held April 2010 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida, family and close friends of Rubio enjoyed a private three-course lunch at the hotel’s restaurant.
