Maxfield Does Christmas Avant-Garde Style

This may very well be an avant-garde Christmas for the West Hollywood retailer. First, it was Galliano with his fairy-like tree, and now here is Maxfield pushing the creative envelope. Their “Christmas tree” display includes a tree fully plucked with its branches neatly piled, then a phantom of the opera candelabra boldly standing in place of the tree trunk. Dare I think what is in store for Valentine’s Day? Apparently, a little taboo Christmas brings out the friendly in the otherwise chic and sometimes snobby staff. Run and get your fix of international high-end designers before the holiday spirit leaves and you have to hunt down an associate for a dressing room.
