Dining With the Stars This Week

On a typical New York day, celebrities and those people dreams are made of head out into the big city and enjoy each other’s company over a fine meal or drinks. If you’re curious as to why Chase Crawford was glad he had his phone with him, what Taylor Swift and John Mayor were doing together, and where Naomi Campbell and Russian boyfriend Vladislav Doronin chose to dine, then there’s only one thing to do: read on.

This was quite a busy celebrity dining week for New York City as many big-name stars headed to the Big Apple for the holidays. Of course, no trip to New York is complete for a celeb without first dining with other celebs in well-known (and delicious) restaurants.

Ice T and his wife, Coco, shared a romantic dinner in midtown at Benjamin Steakhouse while Ashley Simpson’s husband, Pete Wentz, treated his friends to dinner at Beppe. Sienna Miller joined a friend at swanky pseudo-deli, Delicatessen and over in Tribeca at Bubby’s restaurant, teen-heart-throb Joshua Jackson brunched with Diane Kruger.

Da Silvano had a double whammy with Patti Smith dining with two friends on one side of the restaurant while publishers Tom Florio and Richard Beckham power-lunched on the other side. Another multiple sighting was at Osteria del Circo where Sienna Miller, Harvey Weinstein, Brooke Gaehan, and Julian Schanel toasted Robin Wright Penn at a dinner for The Private Lives of Pippa Lee. The group ate salmon and cheese ravioli while sipping Grey Goose Martinis.

Over at Sweetiepie, fashion icon Isaac Mizrahi threw a holiday party with mini-burgers, macaroni and cheese, and Champagne cocktails while on the Lower East Side, Kelly Bensimon and Jill Zarin lunched at Little Giant.

Any day or night at New York’s Nobu is bound to produce a celebrity or two, and this week Taylor Swift and John Mayor dined together. At Thomas Keller’s Per Se, Kate Hudson, Anna Wintour, and Harvey Weinstein attended a lunch for the new movie Nine.

Without even needing a reservation, Condoleeza Rice and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell dined at Ristorante San Pietro while super model Naomi Campbell and Russian billionaire boyfriend, Vladislav Doronin canoodled at Indochine.

A few stars were spotted dining out alone this week too, including newly-wed Ivanka Trump who treated herself to some lunchtime salmon at Bisto Bagatelle, Chace Crawford who nursed a glass of red wine while texting at Hillstone, and Mary-Kate Olsen who snuck outside of Sant Ambreoeus to have a cigarette break during dinner.
