Haute Property: Joe Montana Lists 500-acre Estate

Retired professional football quarter back, Joe Montana and his wife Jennifer have listed their 500-acre estate for $49 million.

Known to some as the best football player of all-time, Montana was a member of the 49ers and throughout his career he started four Super Bowl games and won all of them before being elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2000.

Now, Montana and his wife are looking to unload their sprawling estate located in Sonoma County’s wine country. The property includes a beautiful 9,700-square-foot Tuscan-inspired three bedroom and three and half bedroom main house which has a loggia open to the outdoors, a sitting room in an upstairs tower and a climate-controlled wine cellar and tasting room, appropriate for the home’s location.

The home is a rare find that caters to nearly everyone, no matter what their interests. There is an equestrian center, two year-round creeks, a pond, a regulation-sized basketball court, a skeet shooting range, a caretaker’s residence, a guesthouse, a swimming pool with a spa, a gym, a bocce court and a producing olive farm. The home also features 360-degree views of Mt. Saint Helena and Knights Valley.
