Dylan McDermott Sells Brentwood Home

Hollywood actor, Dylan McDermott, most famously known for his roles in Dark Blue and The Practice, has sold his Brentwood home for $6.5 million. McDermott and his ex-wife, actress Shiva Rose, previously owned the 1920 4,000-square-foot home which features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a two-story great room with beamed, cathedral ceilings which opens up to a dining room. The bedroom wing of the estate has three suites off of a glass-walled galleria exposing the gardens which include sycamore trees and a 250-yeard-old oak tree that is situated in the front yard and functions as a centerpiece for the Spanish-style home.
“The Spanish hacienda style made me feel I was living in the south of France or Italy,” McDermott says of his former home before adding, “Of course, I could not deny the famous legacy” of the address. “The many great actors and artists that walked the same hallways always brought a smile to my face,” says McDermott.  The home has a long line of celebrity couple owners, including Michelle Pfeiffer and television show creator David E. Kelley, and actress Melanie Griffith and her husband actor Antonio Banderas.

McDermott and Rose bought the house in 1999 for approximately $4 million.
