Donna Summer to Reign at the Center’s 36th Annual Candlelight Concert

Singer/songwriter/pop culture icon Donna Summer will be the star of this year’s Candlelight Concert at the Orange County Performing Arts Center on Friday, December 4 in Segerstrom Hall. Each year, Candlelight Concert ushers in the Orange County holiday season and raises more than $1 million for the Center. The proceeds support the Center’s cultural and entertainment offerings and the vitally important education programs. Marta Bhathal and Liz Merage are this year’s co-chairs. Summer now performs in place of the originally announced Disco Groove All-Stars.

“We are thrilled that Donna Summer will be our Candlelight Concert star this year. Having this single, legendary artist headline this spectacular event takes the excitement and anticipation to a whole new level,” said co-chair Marta Bhathal. “Candlelight is known for being the most anticipated and glamorous arts benefit in Orange County, and the combination of tradition, philanthropy and Ms. Summer’s magnetism will introduce the holidays and the New Year in dazzling style.”

“It gives us the greatest pleasure to be part of this tradition,” added Liz Merage. “Candlelight gathers the extended Center family in an annual homecoming event that is filled with love for the arts and arts education, as well as a resolute commitment to providing the best of both for everyone in Orange County.”

Seating for Candlelight Concert is limited. The Orange County Performing Arts Center is located on 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, CA.
