Dolce Purchases Two Sky Garages

It had been rumored that Domenico Dolce, of the Dolce & Gabbana duo, was adding another accessories to his fashion domain: a haute couture building. Public records now show that the same entity to which Dolce’s penthouse was attributed, Cinquantotto LLC, is listed as the purchaser of two units in the 200 Eleventh Avenue condominium developed by architect Annabelle Selldorf and nicknamed Sky Garage.

The Prudential Douglas Elliman broker who represented the units could not comment due to a confidentiality agreement and the law firm Pavia & Harcourt that represent the buyer declined to comment. Records reveal that both transfers were signed by Cristiana Ruella, an executive of Dolce & Gabbana. Cinquantotto means “58” in Italian and Dolce was born in 1958. With the highest downtown closing price this year, both units closed the same day for a combined $29 million for a total of 7,336 square feet-the 3, 536-square-foot unit closed for $11.5 million and the 3,800-square-foot unit closed for $17.5 million on September 24.

Dolce’s new Chelsea pads feature “en suite sky garages” that provide its owners with an automatic car elevator that brings their vehicles to a private garage on the same floor as their apartments. This 19-sotry, 16-unit condo tower is and exquisitely modern structure with stainless steel exteriors. These limited-edition homes are available in simplexes with terraces, duplexes, and penthouses with double-height ceilings from 16 to 24 feet. Most of the homes are made up of three bedrooms with three and a half baths ranging from 1,300 square feet to nearly 3,500 square feet. Only 14 of the residences feature the en suite sky garages.
