Bal Harbour has long been the ultimate land of luxury in South Florida. The legendary Bal Harbour Shops rival some of the world’s most revered shopping destinations. With a lineup of boutiques that include fashion’s crème de la crème like Chanel, Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, and Giorgio Armani, Bal Harbour Shops competes with the likes of Rodeo Drive, Fifth Avenue, and Champs-Elysées in Paris and wins big due to the influx of international jet setters constantly dropping in on the Magic City.
Adding to the already elite reputation of the luxury locale, the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort will be debuting the completion of its third tower in February, with the resort scheduled to open in 2011. Located across the street from the sumptuous shops on Collins Avenue, the St. Regis in South Florida looms large over its 1,000-foot stretch of sandy shores, with 27 stories in each tower.
The aesthetics of the interiors are certain to impress under the direction of Yabu Pushelberg. With a St. Regis in San Francisco and the W Hotel in New York already in their portfolio, as well as luxury boutiques like Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton, and Carolina Herrera, there is little doubt that the St. Regis Bal Harbour will make a bold statement, demanding attention and adoration.
The numbers at the new St. Regis are impressive: 455-square-foot balconies, a 12,000-square-foot spa, and residences as large as 6,868 square feet, starting at $1.9 million. The amenities deserve a mention as well, with white-glove butlers and 24-hour room service. Of course, it is the St. Regis…in Bal Harbour…so we would expect nothing less than spectacular perfection.
