Any evening at the W South Beach is sure to be filled with fashionistas donning sparkling jewels and the season’s hautest looks, but throw in a revered jewelry designer and a local nonprofit called Dress for Success, and you are sure to be in for an elegant evening full of surprises. On Saturday, October 24, Dress for Success will host its second annual “Dress to Impress” event, with special honoree, Judith Ripka. Dress for Success Miami is a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting disadvantaged women in South Florida by providing professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. Celebrating 15 years of service to the community, the charitable evening will feature fashion, luxury auction items, entertainment, and gourmet goodies.
But the local nonprofit is not limiting their fashionable fundraising efforts to South Beach alone. On Tuesday, October 6, Dress for Success hits the hip new downtown district at the Epic Hotel for the “Express Success Campaign.” The charity’s national spokeswoman, actress, singer, and humanitarian Vanessa Williams will be on hand at the cocktail reception, along with Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide.
