Giselle’s Penthouse Reduced

According to the Wall Street Journal, in-demand supermodel Gisele Bundchen has re-listed her Manhattan home. The West Village penthouse is where she and Tom Brady, her NFL star quarterback boyfriend, have been hounded by the paparazzi. The property first went on the market at $10.9 million last September. With no bidders, she took the price down several times, finally offering it for $7.9 million during the spring, yet it still didn’t move-so she took it off the market. Now it’s back on, and the asking price is reduced to almost 50 percent off the original, at $5.9 million. The two-bedroom modern apartment is right around 1700 square feet, spread over three floors that are connected by a spiral staircase. It also features a wraparound terrace and a roof deck, to enjoy spectacular views of the Hudson River. Although she’ll only make a $2.9 million profit on the pad (she bought it for $3 million in 2002), the Brazilian beauty is doing just fine. According to Forbes, she is the highest-paid model in the world (she’s the face of more than 20 international brands), as well as the sixteenth richest woman in the entertainment world, having earned $33 million in 2007, and $35 million in 2008 alone. Her fortune is estimated at $150 million. In case you’re hoping she’ll be there for a walkthrough, sorry Charlie-she’s been renting a townhouse in the West Village.
