Founded in 1991, Jazz Aspen Snowmass (JAS) is a not-for-profit organization and its mission is to present and preserve Jazz, American, and popular music through world-class festivals, performances, and educational programs. This includes the small venue JAS Winter Series, bringing year-round jazz music to the Roaring Fork Valley. The series features vocalists, instrumentalists, acoustic jazz, and jazz-inspired music. Nominated jazz pianist Bill Charlap, known as one of the premier interpreters of the Great American Songbook, will be performing at Harris Hall on March 14 in the upcoming winter series shows. Additionally, Jazz Aspen Snowmass produces two 4-day long music festivals: the June (June 19-22) and Labor Day (August 29-September 1) festivals presented by Calamos Investments.
